This refurbishment service is exclusively for customer-owned Otey hickory putters.
It is not a cosmetic refinish and does not include a new putter.
Your original club is carefully restored and returned to you in fully playable condition.

Each putter is individually inspected, corrected, and rebuilt by hand to restore performance while preserving its original character and craftsmanship.

Scope of Service

Every refurbishment includes a detailed inspection and corrective process focused on playability and structural integrity:

• Full evaluation of shaft, grip, and head
• Alignment correction and structural checks
• Re-lacquering or clear coating where required
• Moisture protection and surface restoration
• Final calibration and play-readiness verification

Shaft Renewal

Your original hickory shaft is stripped, heat-treated, straightened, and re-lacquered.
This process restores proper stiffness, straightness, moisture resistance, and visual consistency while maintaining the authenticity of the original shaft.

Grip Replacement

The existing grip is removed and all residue is fully cleaned.
A new premium leather grip is then hand-installed to proper specification, ensuring correct feel, balance, and hand placement.

Head Work

Your original brass putter head receives detailed restoration:

• Deep cleaning and polishing
• Face flatness correction
• Weight inspection and adjustment if necessary
• Preservation of original geometry and shape
• Surface reconditioning to appropriate matte or satin finish

Performance & Authenticity

This service restores your original Otey putter to full playing condition without altering its historical character.
